This afternoon we handed over The Mongolf to CDPF (Children’s’ Development and Protection Fund) who will receive all the cars and auction them off in September. It was a bit wired to give away the car since it has been our home for a month. We had already delayed the handover but this morning we went to the train station and bought tickets for our home trip, and after that we could not delay the handover any more…

After some paperwork and lunch we walked through the details of the car with CDPF’s people and then we emptied the car and gave them the keys. We met two other teams that had handed over their car 2 days ago, and they had come back the see their cars a last time before they fly home - so we are not the only ones that had grown quite attached to our car!

The plan tomorrow was to rent a Jeep and discover some of the beautiful countryside, but CDPF was so kind to lent us one 4×4 from one of the other teams for the day tomorrow!
